Im on a Budget but your Overweight
The Denver Public School District is sending home student health reports to keep parents informed.
One Child was sent home with a red check mark next to the wod "overweight." The parent of the child says that she is outraged.
Not because her child is "big boned" but because the letter was put in the child's backpack and not mailed, nor was it placed in a sealed envelope.
The Denver Public School District Spokesperson Alex Sanchez says that it is cheaper for the district to send these things home with students instead of by mail.
Oh *sighs* that is classic. Save money even if it means breaking the hearts of young children.
What a shame.

The accused burglar, Mark William of North East, didn't wake up until police placed handcuffs on him while he was snoozing. Police say the victim came home at 8 a.m. on October 2nd to find William asleep in his bed.
He called police. Authorities say William, who goes by the nickname "Weasel," jammed a chair to the back entrance of the apartment before bedding down. He was charged with burglary, theft and malicious destruction of property.
William also faces drug charges after police found a small package of suspected crack cocaine in his pocket. He's being held in the Cecil County jail on $15,000 bond."abc2news

According to People magazine Britney Spears has been granted overnight visits with her babies...honestly I feel sorry for the chick.
Britney Spears attended a custody hearing Thursday, addressed the judge in a "soft and respectful voice," and finally got some good news: she may now have overnight visits with her sons.
"The pop star, who appeared relaxed in blue jeans and sunglasses as she entered the courtroom – telling reporters, "I'm good, thank you" – emerged 45 minutes later appearing solemn and declining to comment.
But the hearing was a rare victory. The judge expanded her visitation schedule, giving her one monitored overnight visit a week with Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, a court spokesman said. Lawyers will work on when the new schedule begins.
"Ms. Spears did speak (at the hearing)," says court spokesman Allan Parachini, "and her voice was soft and respectful."
Spears's attorney, Sorrell Trope, tells PEOPLE: "I consider this a very positive sign for my client. I have every expectation that she will comply with all the orders made by the court. I remain absolutely optimistic that she will eventually regain 50-50 custody."
Earlier in the day, another lawyer for Spears asked a judge for overnight privileges, saying the boys are psychologically harmed by being away from their mother.
Calling the current visitation schedule "disruptive" to the children's development, attorney Anne Kiley said the boys are roused from naps and taken from Spears at 3 p.m. on each visit.
Kiley added that Spears's court-mandated monitor is willing to stay overnight to supervise the proposed visits, and suggested that Spears's mother Lynne could also serve as a monitor, since the two had reconciled over the weekend.
Federline Agreed to Overnights
Kevin Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, who before the hearing had strongly objected to any changes to the visitation schedule, said afterward that Spears's ex was satisfied with the new arrangement.
"Kevin has always been willing to jointly parent these children. He felt confident that the conditions (on Spears) satisfied his concerns," said Kaplan. "Kevin agreed that he would allow additional time to be expanded into the order, provided that the kids (were properly) protected."
The judge, Kaplan noted, maintained the monitored supervision and turned down Spears's suggestion of using her mother as a monitor.
Before Spears appeared, L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon had tentatively rejected the overnight request, though he had asked both sides to confer privately. Spears then showed up at the courthouse. (Neither side was required to be there. Federline did not attend).
Explaining why Spears had not previously been granted more leeway with visitations, Gordon said Spears "made a conscious choice not to do anything" regarding his extensive Sept. 17 rulings, which called for random drug tests, and parenting classes and coaching.
It was also revealed that Spears has only had one session so far with her court-mandated parenting coach. In addition, the commissioner stated he has not seen any drug test results so far, although Trope previously said she has passed more than one."

Grandma, Im Hungry
A 6 year old boy in BROOMFIELD, Colorado
decided to take a drive to applebees for lunch. He grabbed his grandmothers keys, put his car seat behind the steering wheel, put on his seat belt and proceeded to start the car and back out of the driveway. The only problem was that he ran into a electrical box. No applebees for him.
What gets me is that he didnt want to go to mcdonalds or burger king. Nawwwww...he wanted applebees.

Take your child to work day gone wrong
A grandmother and her 4 year old grandaughter were detained after being caught stealing from a sears department store in Philadelphia.
They stole $359 worth of merchandise. This is not the first time these two have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
They had actually been in the store prior and stolen goods but the security team were afraid to chase the woman because they feared for the 4 year olds well being.
The video survelliance camera shows the grandmother standing over top of the little girl while she goes in between the clothes rack and places the merchandise in her doll-baby stroller. The little girl obviously has some experince to be so young.
Sometimes you shouldnt interfere
In Norcross, Georgia a father of 33 years of age left his daughter of 14 years of age on the 2nd floor balcony of his apartment over the weekend as a punishment because he had been having problems with her behavior.
He was charged with first-degree cruelty to children and reckless conduct. And was taken to Gwinnett County Detention Center.
Its interesting how the neighbors said that they saw the girl on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on the balcony but the father is the only one being charged. If they were so concerned about her welfare then why didnt they contact the rental office or the police when they first saw her?

What?!?!? I dont think so. Didnt yall see what happened in Columbine and Virginia Tech?
Oh, uh-uh. A three day suspension is not enough. They need counseling, a good ol fashion butt whuppin, and to be taken to an adult facility to see what jail is really like.

In Boyd County, Kentucky an ambulance driver faces drug charges. He can face up to a maximum penalty of $500 and 30 days in jail. While transporting a patient to an area nursing home his co-worker became supspicious of his actions and when he got back to base there was a random drug test performed and he failed with flying colors
That's right drug charges. So now if I am being transfered in an ambulance I will have to fight to remain conscience so that I can ask the driver a few pertinent questions. Like: Where were you August 15th 1979? Whose your daddy? You got $20 dollars I can borrow (have) ? How many fingers am I holding up (without holding any fingers up)? How much does a dime bag cost now?
You know, pertinent questions like that .

Akron high school in Ohio has no bleachers
OOOOOKAAAAYYY ... how in the world do you just steal bleachers and no one sees anything?
In April of 2007 banisters were stolen from Akron high school.
Then bleachers from the right side of the school's baseball field were stolen on July 30th 2007. Then the thieves came back
last night and stole the rest of them. Huh?!?!? The school cant afford a decent security system but they can afford $10,000 worth of bleachers?
So this is a heads up for the police: If they come every 3 months, come back in January 2008 and keep watch.
